Promos, Commercials, and Products on my PPV?!
Throughout the evening, we get promotions for the WWE Network. Yay! People are paying big bucks for some commercialized event takes place tomorrow. Commercials that shouldn't be in a Pay Per View. Also, having to see Los Matadores, The Great Khali, El Torito and Santino Marella play with toys, is just too much. We should have Dark Helmet play with WWE action figures...
See this wouldn't happen if I bought a movie. I'll pop in Hellraiser, and all of a sudden Pinhead talks about buying Hellflix, Toys from Demonspawn Toys Inc. and Netherrealm's own Hot Pockets. Seriously, Hot Pockets are made from Satan; all hot on the sides and cold in the middle. What the fuck? Anyway, WWE has been putting commercialized products in PPVs, but can't they tone it down just a little? No wonder people are finding ways to find WWE programming online.
The Lowcard Feuds...
Kickoff: The Rhodes Brothers vs Rybaxel
These teams went at it like it was another match on RAW. It was just ok. Being that it was Curtis Axel's hometown, you would think that he would get the win. Nope The Rhodes won. They didn't seem to be at each other's throats, so we will be likely getting a multi-team tag match at Wrestlemania.
Titus O'Neil vs Darren Young
Now this one was very boring. I couldn't stop looking up Rage Comics on Memebase. The brawl they have been having on Smackdown was more exciting. Darren Young was practically carried throughout this match. Titus O'Neil didn't show even half of his charisma that he usually has. He needed to take more trash to Darren. The moves were boring, the announcers were bored and the crowd was bored. Titus won by pinfall with the Clash of the Titus.
AJ Lee w/Tamina vs Cameron For the Divas Championship
The divas match was another ok one. It was better than Titus and Darren. Cameron was allowed a chance for a Divas Championship match, because her name was drawn out of a hat. Seriously, the Divas Title is so low, that most people would rather have a cardboard cut out of a title.
Yes that piece of shit is better than the Divas division. So in the end, Tamina costed AJ Lee's match by DQ.
It looks like Tamina and AJ are splitting up.
Midcard Matches...
Big E vs Jack Swagger For the Intercontinental Championship
This match had barely any promos or hype. Coming off as boring and people caring less about it turned it around to look good. Both wrestlers did a good job. There were hard hitting moves and false endings. I thought the match was over with the second Patriot Lock on. I kept yelling at Big E to tap out. He fought out of it and won the match via pinfall with the Big Ending. I do have to say that it would of been better to see Jack Swagger win the belt. I think a feud here could of been brought out.
The Usos vs The New Age Outlaws For the Tag Team Championships
Both tag teams are very much over with the crowd. The dirty wrestling NAO is putting on is classic them, and the high flying wrestling the Usos are using is just what the crowd loves. I expected the Usos to go over here, but I am liking their feud. I do understand that the Usos are going to get another chance at WM30. It would be the better time to win the straps then. The NAO wins with a dirty pinfall.
Alberto Del Rio vs Batista
Wow just...just wow! This was a spectacle to see. The crowd was the best part. I don't think Del Rio has been cheered this loud ever. Even when he was a face, and he had Roberto Rodriguez with him. You can just see the intense hatred Batista had with the audience. He even talked trash about them without the microphone. Either creative is having LSD for lunch or just completely don't care about the crowd. Ever since that night after Wrestlemania 29 on RAW, the crowd is forever changed.
Could you imagine the creative team trying to fix the audience's problem?
HHH: Ok team, Cena is not drawing as good as he used to. How can we fix this?
Creative member1: Well how about we bring back Batista and give him the Royal Rumble win?
HHH: Like it.
Creative member2: How about we bring back the Randy Orton and John Cena feud?
HHH: Love it.
Creative member3: How about we give the belt to Daniel Bryan?
HHH: (Predigrees Creative member3) Ok we will go with Batista coming back and a rerun of Cena/Orton.
I'll make an editorial about the crowd. This match was basically a plane crash and you have to watch the disaster. It's quite funny. Batista obviously wins.
The Main Events
The Wyatt Family vs. The Shield
From the start to the finish, this is the match of the year. This was like Freddy vs Jason, King Kong vs Godzilla, Aliens vs Predator all wrapped up in one. Now each member of each team was really shined. Erick Rowan is now physically scary. Luke Harper showed some great new wrestling moves. Bray Wyatt is surprising powerful and gifted as a character. Roman Reigns being the breakout star was great taking on all three Wyatts. Dean Ambrose hasn't really shown us exactly what he can do yet, but damn did I want him to fight Bray. However, hands down Seth Rollins really was the brightest star of the night. He pulled off some great high flying moves that would make Rey Mysterio throw up. So about the match...It started with a brawl. A brawl that would foretell things to come in their match. Too many highlights in this match, which include: Dean Ambrose and Bray Wyatt before the bell, Seth Rollins hitting all those high flying moves, Luke Harper launching himself to the outside, Bray and Ambrose taking the fight to the outside, Rollins going through the mexican announcers' table and Reigns trying to fend off the Wyatts alone. Bray Wyatt wins by pinfall after Sister Abigail.
The Elimination Chamber match for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship
Sheamus vs Cesaro vs Daniel Bryan vs Christian vs John Cena vs Randy Orton(all in order of the match)
This match was pretty good, but left a sour taste in my mouth. Lets start... Sheamus and Cesaro start the match brutally. Strikes and slams were just awesome. Soon Bryan was entered and the match picked up. Bryan's injury showed, and he succumbed to pain. Next, Christian came in. He was pretty good being the character that needed a good showing. John Cena was brought into the match, then Orton. Some highlights include: Daniel Bryan going through the glass, Christian hiding on top of a cell only to be frog splashing Sheamus, Orton hiding back inside the cell only to have Sheamus Brogue Kick the door. Each participate was beautifully done. Sheamus was the first to go by Christian. Christian by Daniel Bryan. Cesaro by John Cena. Then it got weird. The Wyatts interfered and took out John Cena. Leaving Orton to get the pin over Cena. The Wyatts left with Kane telling them to leave. Daniel Bryan saw Kane as a threat and took out Kane. As Bryan and Orton fought. Kane interfered only for Bryan to roundhouse kick him. Orton got the RKO, and Bryan kicked out. Bryan hit the knee, and Kane interfered again. Orton hit the second RKO for the win. Cole started spewing out remarks on how this interference needs to stop. It was like he was talking for us. I hated this. Not for the interference, but that it was Kane. I have said this before. Kane and Daniel Bryan rivalry needs to end. Triple H should of been the one to interfere.
Overall:
This was a mixed bag. Two great matches, two good matches and the rest were RAW-like matches was an ok PPV. The main events really delivered, while we had two abysmal matches. I'm counting this as a 5/10, but you need to watch Shield/Wyatt match. It really is the best so far. Leave your comments at the bottom.
