WrestlingNerd TopTen: Why we hate Cena?!

The Justin Bieber of Professional Wrestling
Hey you all and welcome to another edition of WWE Wrestling Nerd Editorial. Today, we look at the real babyf'ace of WWE: John Cena. Oh John, you are so well voiced on the microphone, but you are out-entertained by the Savior of the Unwashed Masses. You are the top of the WWE totem pole, but backstage politics keep you there. You really get the crowd excited, but even as a face, most of the crowd still boos you.
Now I know that many many other writers, journalists and internet reviewers wrote about him. I feel that their might be something missing from other entries to the anomaly that is John Cena.
I know that others say the same thing. "John Cena is a good person, he does a lot of charity work, so I don't hate the guy...blah...blah... blah." I'm going to say this: I'm going to bash him and I don't care about his personal life, because it doesn't effect my viewership of the program. He may be an asshole, he may be a saint, but we are straight talking about his character. Let's get to it.

10) Bodybuilding Hack

The first testament to his infamy is his origins of his professional wrestling life. He was a bodybuilder before his wrestling debut.

Yeah, that's John Cena

A lot of wrestlers come from bodybuilding, and they are pushed to the top. Just look at Batista, Triple H and Big E; they were all bodybuilders and each one rose or rising to the top. Bodybuilders that joined wrestling seem to be placed higher on the proverbial totem pole than wrestlers from the independent circuit. However, wrestling fans can easily see that the bodybuilding wrestlers often can't match the moves, theatrics or sells that independent wrestlers have. Also, they usually have the charisma. Now back to Cena...his bodybuilding career is often looked down on just like other bodybuilding wrestlers by wrestling fans.

9)Winning too many Titles

The ugly spinning belt Cena showed us

Having the WWE title meant you are the best of the best. Having around five title reigns mean you are a legend. However, having 10+ just means you are taking away from other people. John Cena has had more time with this belt than Randy Orton, The Rock and Stone Cold combined. Without anyone to challenge Cena or meaningful matches, his title reigns are cheapen. Announcers call him "One of the Greatest of all Time," but I feel he did nothing but hurt the sport and it's title. Understanding that it is all Kayfabe means WWE Title Reigns is more about quality over quantity. I mean who really was better Stone Cold Steve Austin with his 5 WWE Title Reigns or John Cena with his 11 WWE Title Reigns also being the second-longest title holds in 25 years?

8) Making the match less realistic

Kids born in the 2000s

One of the worst offenses to the viewing eyes. We all know that Wrestling is not real, but Cena can at least act like something other than an underdog in the match. When the same story is told over and over again in the ring, it becomes anti-climatic, predictable and degrades other wrestlers. If the story is the same, it's not as much fun, and we start to see faults in the work. Then the young viewers become cynical assholes like myself.
It's quite easy- John Cena comes out to a hateful crowd and tells us about the energy of the crowd and its name. He runs and slides into the ring, shows off the shirt, does a few gestures and the match starts. At first, Cena and the opponent square off on the same level, then the opponent beats his ass. The crowd does the whole polarizing "Lets go Cena; Cena Sucks," and Jerry...only Jerry Lawler will speak about Cena getting an energetic crowd. Cena does two shoulder blocks, the opponent swings wildly and Cena does a spin-out powerbomb. 5-knuckle shuffle and it's setup for an Attitude Adjustment. The AA is countered, and they trade out moves. The STFU is put on and the opponent reaches the ropes. Finally, Cena gets hit with a finisher and kicks out at 2. Somehow, Cena pulls off an Attitude Adjustment for the win.
Typical Cena match.

7) Backstage Politics

Arguing over who kisses who's ass!

We all know that John Cena is Vince McMahon's love child. After all, he does make WWE a ton of money with merchandise sells. In the end, WWE is of course a business. Money is what they are all about, so why not keep your cash cow in the top of the mountain. Now with Cena at the top for pretty much 9 or more years, we all would of been sick of him already after 5. The spotlight has a permanent spot on him, and we all know his matches through and through. We know his promos through and through. Why? Because of Vince McMahon LOVES MONEY!!!

6) In-ring ability

The second testament to why we hate Cena is his wrestling skills. Three reasons his in-ring ability sucks are: his ability to sell moves and injuries, his move repertoire and his botches.
Botches happen rarely; even more they are noticeable. John Cena has so many botches that he featured on many Botchamanias. Botches discredits a wrestler's reputation. Now with Cena haters watching for these botches, you would think he is better. No way!

Selling moves is a helpful part of making the opponent look great. At the same time, selling injuries helps the storyline. Cena does none of these unless the injuries are real and use them as a excuse to lose a match. No-selling moves is a part of playing the bad guy behind the scenes, which Cena has a lot of pull onto why he is the on top. In example, Brock Lesnar vs John Cena at Extreme Rules was a colossal screw-up. Lesnar dominated Cena for 20 minutes only for Lesnar to be pinned by two moves. The two moves were like Cena getting an elixir in Final Fantasy. He shed off all forms of domination by Lesnar and pinned him.  This match was to show the dominance of Brock Lesnar. In a more dickheaded move, Lesnar was supposed to speak as Cena was carried out after the match, but Cena grabbed the mic and acted like nothing happened.
Finally, his move list is quite short. We all know the five moves of doom, but lately he has been trying other things. Every new move seems to scream fake. Mostly, he keeps moves clean and acceptable.
To be fair, John Cena does one thing great and that's exciting the crowd when it comes to the big night.

5) Pandering to the Audience too much

Cena wants you to join the Cenation Army

This one is pretty short. Cena loves to rib the crowd and excite them.

Teasing people about heel turns, saying childish curse words like "cheese and crackers" and pandering to the audience is why he sucks at the mic. This is starting to become a trend among other faces. It's too politically correct and pg. Everyday, I wish for a manly face. One that won't take shit, much like Steve Austin. One that can make us laugh at the expense of the opponent like The Rock. One that is not pg and panders to the kids. I know this may piss off people, but Daniel Bryan is starting to pander to us way too much.

4) Never Losing

John Cena's Alter-Ego

After 12+ years, we now know that each Cena match involves a predictable high percentage of him winning. It is somewhat acceptable if it was just PPVs that Cena almost never lost, but having him never lose no matter what on RAW and Smackdown is just ridiculous. Since 2005, Cena has only lost cleanly seven times. Even more, he always has an excuse for that lost, whether it is an injury or some off hand problem. Just for once, I would love to see him tap out or say "I Quit."

3) Burying Rising Stars

The Shovel will haunt you

Since his debut, Cena has been burying Rising Stars like Bull Buchanan(B-2), Billy Kidman and Redd Dogg, whom they both disappeared to make Cena look good.
With him being at the top for so long, he takes away the spotlight from other rising stars. Each one from 09' to 11' has been buried:
The Miz
Wade Barrett
The Nexus
Alberto Del Rio
Dolph Ziggler
Ryback
Mark Henry

The list can go on. Some of these guys have even been ridiculed for it. Again I can't find a clip for it, but Dolph Ziggler and John Cena are talking. Then Cena says something so damn hateful and asshole-like about not rising up to the top. It's funny that he says that since he was always there.

2) Taking the Spotlight

Stealing two Wrestlemania main events from others

This may be close to the Never Losing or Winning too many Titles I was talking about. The difference is during the CM Punk reign with the WWE Championship, John Cena was featured in the main event of PPVs three more times than Punk. Even more, two of those times Punk was in the main event John Cena was in there too. When Cena was WWE Champion, the World Heavyweight Champion (which was supposed to be on the same level) was always degraded outside the main event slot. So, let me put this in a nutshell:
Cena never loses, he won way too many championships and took away the spotlight from everyone.
I have always loved this analogy: John Cena to other wrestlers' point-of-view is the ex-boyfriend of your girlfriend who she always talks about. How good he was, how he made her feel right and always one-upping your life.

1) Character Flaws

He better thank The Rock
Clearly, Cena's character flaws are the worst. I can make another top 5 just on his flaws.
Cena has a million shirts that he has produced over the years. Each one has him coming to the ring, and showing off the shirt each time. Also, each time it says his same catchphrases. Even one has him posing next to a guy that wore a "Cena Sucks" shirt. Apparently, the guy is an actor that WWE hires. Way to "Hustle" those shirts.
His storylines are the worst, because he is so cheesy in character. Storylines like: The AJ Lee Debacle, The Rise Above the Hate fiasco and anything from 2010. Only guys like Mark Henry, Daniel Bryan and CM Punk make his storylines special and entertaining.

Cena is the essence of the PG era. Cursing in the blandest ways. Starring in annoying movies like "Fred." Turning an insult into a commercial. The worst is pandering to kids.Yeah kids are special, but this is WWE and what is the basics of professional wrestling- to beat the hell out of the opponent in order to pin him for a three count. Not exactly for kids. He never forgets the "Respect" of his loyal merchandise buyers.
Lastly, due to his major pull backstage that ripples through everybody, John Cena will never change his character. Whether he go for a less childish side or go for a heel role, Cena will continue to bore us with his PG, cheese and crackers, non-entertaining ass for a little while longer.

WrestlingNerd Review: RAW...#WWEHIJACKSCROWD

Hey everybody! Welcome back to the Wrestling Nerd Review. I haven't been on for a while; I have been in the hospital...Hospital food tastes like bear shit. Anyways...today we have a special RAW. The hype comes from the Vocal Chicago crowd, so we will be hearing a lot of CM Punk chants, and this idea called #HIJACKRAW. Is the crowd going to riot? Is the crowd going to hijack RAW like 4/8/13? Is WWE going to care? Also, is a certain Second-City Saint going to show up? I have my damn unsweetened ice tea that I can only drink, so lets watch the show.

CM...Heyman?!

With Punk's music, Paul Heyman comes out and deliver a damn good promo. He sits in the ring cross-legged just like Punk, and he tells about Punk's backstory. It leads to Punk's defeat at Wrestlemania against The Undertaker. However, Heyman wants revenge against the Undertaker for leading Punk against him. He has his ace-in-the-sleeve...

I swear Heyman has an orgasm everytime he says Brock's name. Brock comes out and finally speaks. Basically, he ribs the audience about their baby boy losing to Undertaker, and he is going to beat The Undertaker. Lesnar and Heyman is something really special. As they exit, Mark Henry comes out to pick a jobbing match. Mark Henry gets his ass handed to him and sent through a table.

The Tag Titles Revisited

New Age Outlaws vs The Usos
The New Age Outlaws deny the opening segment that they are used to. The match is underway. It was a little short, but lots of fun. The Usos easily are the most fun team out there. I'm quite surprised that the Usos get a Title match, and I'm even more shocked that they won. It's finally happened. It would of been better if it was at Wrestlemania, however WWE seem to have something special planned.

Problems with Murica'

Big E vs Cesaro w/ Zeb Coulter and Jack "Biff" Swagger
Cesaro hits all the signature moves when Jack hits Big E with the Swagger bomb. The Real Americans seems to have their problems.

Big E vs Jack "Make like a Tree, and get outta here" Swagger w/ Cesaro and Zeb Coulter
Once that bell hits, Cesaro hits the Neutralizer on Big E costing Swag the match. After, they tease a fight between the Muricans.' Zeb makes them hug. The hug wasn't exactly all happiness and harmony. I hope they stay together and take on the Usos.

Wyatts/Shield-1

The Wyatt Family vs The Shield
Rollins is once again amazing. Ambrose is very aggressive and makes the match look real. Reigns was just as awesome as well. Now during the whole match the Wyatts weren't really the head of interest. They did great, but the spotlight was on the Shield especially Rollins and Ambrose. Halfway through Rollins was temporary deserted and finally got the tag, however when it came time to tag back in Rollins backs off. He stands on the ramp watching. Rollins say he is tired of holding everyone together and that Reigns and Ambrose need to work it out. Reigns and Ambrose really tries to stay in the match, but they eventually lose. This match was the match of the night as far as action. The spotlight was damn sure on Rollins tonight. Seth Rollins is developing on his character. I love how each character in the Shield is developing differently. I don't know where it's going to take us, but it's going to be a hell of a lot of fun.

The Low Point of the Night

Emma/Santino Marella vs Summer Rae/Fandango
The Emma/Marella thing is already old. They high-five and keep tagging each other in.

This match was horrendous. Summer Rae and Emma was the only good part. NXT is bringing up good characters and women wrestlers.

The Bellas vs Aksana/Alicia Fox
This was absolutely boring...that's it Well, I'm happy to be relieved by a bathroom break

A Canadian and a Irishman walk into a...this joke is old like John Cena

Dolph Ziggler vs Alberto Del Rio
The host for tonight, Aaron Paul, is on commentary. He is kinda funny, well he tries. Del Rio and Ziggler has a good match with Ziggler winning. I hope this is another sign of Ziggler getting a push.

Christian vs Sheamus
The match was pretty good, however I'm surprised that they are letting them fight each other. With Sheamus winning, it takes all the steam out of Christian who really needs that spear back. I wonder what they are going to do with them at Wrestlemania. Maybe they will have them team up...ok no we aren't doing that. How about an Irish Street Brawl? Uh...no. Either way they might get a gimmick match for WM30. At least I hope so.

Daniel Bryan comes out to a thunderous crowd. He talks about the hijacking of RAW. Everybody cheers and chants YES! and CM Punk. Then Triple H and Stephanie come out and taunt Bryan and the crowd. I will get to Bryan/HHH segment later. What I wanna talk about is the voice of the crowd, #HIJACKRAW and internet community on wrestling. Triple H said some things that really hit home. One: he called us out on the internet about not getting what we want, and we can whine all we want. Two: It doesn't matter what we say as long as we pay him. Three: They will do whatever they want, and it is their's to destroy or embrace. Four: The crowds, fans and the internet community will turn on wrestlers because of various reasons This segment angers and riles the crowd to a riot-like frenzy. After the segment, it's John Cena's turn for a segment. He comes out to a booing crowd. He says the same ol' shit, except for his mentions on #HIJACKRAW. Once he did that, the crowd quieted down so much it was kinda funny. It was like the South Park episode: Chinpoko Mon.

We all loved Bryan, The YES movement, CM Punk and they are just like Chinpoko Mon. Then the Boy Scout Wonder says he loves them too, and all of a sudden it wasn't cool to chant or say YES!. God I hate Cena. He is the whole damn reason the WWE is screwed the fuck up. I'm just going to hurry up and get it over with. Cena does his same damn bit. Glass ceiling go through me blah...An angel in form of Bray Wyatt comes on and talks his riddles. It was pretty awesome.

The Bryan-Triple H-Batista-Orton Clusterfuck

Earlier, we had Daniel Bryan and The Authority segment. It was a damn good segment, but my god I wanted Bryan to smack the hell out of Triple H. If the Rock, Austin or Punk was there, Triple H would of been on the floor. Triple H was easily a great bad guy, and he can still back it up. Stephanie adds to our hatred of them. Damn! Another two people, we love to hate. Stephanie and Triple H are geniuses by playing against the chants, hopes and wishes of the people.

Daniel Bryan vs Batista
Earlier, Batista had an interview which he said that the YES! Movement was the stupidest thing. Batista is getting better and better even after 4 years. The real bad guy is back. In the match, we had Randy Orton on commentary, but not speaking. The match was good, but it kept all of them strong. During the match, Bryan hurt Batista's leg, The Authority came out and Batista threw Bryan into Orton. Orton hit Bryan then turned onto Batista. Batista countered by pushing Orton into Bryan's flying knee. Then Bryan was hit with a Batista Bomb and a Pedigree. This was a damn good segment again. It really brought back some feelings of hate that I haven't felt since the Attitude Era.

Overall

This...was just a great RAW. It really showed some emotion. The genius point of talking about CM Punk and ribbing the crowd. I hope they keep it up. This is how you build PPV hype. The dumb matches like the Marella/Emma mixed tag was ok, and the Divas match was a nice bathroom break. Other than that, the show was damn good. It did left me hating The Authority in a good way much like we hate the Empire. Right now RAW was the Battle of Hoth. People might not like it for the Authority, but that's why you must watch it. The last thing I'm going to say is I really hate John Cena for sucking all the fun out of the audience. The crowd can make or break a show. WWE just wants more control over us. The only way to combat it is chant stupid stuff during John Cena fights; call him boring. The "boring" chant is the worst to wrestlers. Use chants the right way. A quiet bored audience is what you need against Cena. UGH...I should quit talking about Cena. He's like Justin Bieber; We hate him for the right reasons and talk about him, but any attention is just what they want whether negative or positive. Damnit! I'm doing it again. You what I'm going to make my editorial all about Cena, and I am going to get it all out of my system. Leave Comments and Questions. Hope to see you again!

WrestlingNerd Editorial: The Crowd of today

What up wrestling fans! Today is my editorial, and I am taking on the crowd. The 12th man known in football. They cheer, they boo and they chant. In different arenas, they can be loud, quiet or indifferent. For a wrestling fan, the crowd can make or break a match. In common, they cheer for the face, and they boo the heel. However, everything about the crowd has changed the face of professional wrestling. Lets take a look in different categories of the Attitude Era and Next Generation of wrestling...

Just note this Editorial required a lot of work and time. This subject was something I have been wanting to do, but have little material to go by.

Origins of a takeover crowd

The takeover crowd originated with Bret "The Hitman" Hart, Shawn Michaels and Stone Cold Steve Austin in 1996-97. The crowd started turning on Bret when Austin and Michaels started to get more and more popular. He took on a fatal 4-way match with Vader, Undertaker and Austin. With Austin's high popularity, the fans turned on Bret even when Austin does heel moves. Thus, WWE decides to allow Hart go heel.

Fast forward through to the Attitude Era, WWE taking over WCW and WCW integrating into WWE, which the crowd returns to normal. Heels are booed and Faces are cheered. It's the debut of the most controversial wrestler we have, John Cena. From his debut, a lot of people loved him and some hated him. Time. I can't tell you why we don't like him. I can gather a few things that people probably didn't like when he began.
1) Cena was a bodybuilder; he quit and became a sports entertainer.
2) He chose a rapper as a gimmick. Vanilla Ice style.
3) He didn't have a manliness do him like Austin, Angle or The Rock.

As time went on the people that didn't like him grew. More and more people started to boo until one day the lid broke open. The ever popular ECW had a match between Rob Van Dam and John Cena in 06'. The match was...well...interesting. I don't have a clip, and I really wanted one for this. Go watch Cena vs Rob Van Dam ECW One Night Stand 2006... In the program, Cena was chanted expletives and booed out of the arena. For the first time, the crowd really took over. After that, Cena's audience was never the same again.
Fast forward to the year CM Punk and Daniel Bryan made their mark on WWE in 2011. The
WWE Universe is growing impatient with the stagnant talent at hand. The Rock has handed to face torch to Cena and Triple H has given Randy Orton the main heel character. However, neither one is entertaining. Orton is called boring; Cena has his divided crowd growing in boos. The rest of the roster is overused or not built up. Enter CM Punk's famous breakout shoot promo on RAW June 27th, 2011.

The WWE Universe stop caring that CM Punk was a heel and cheered him anyway. After he won the belt from Cena and left the WWE (work), his popularity spread like wildfire. He was the perfect counter to John Cena. After the summer of Punk, Daniel Bryan won the Money in the Bank match, and he cashed it in on Big Show on December 18th, 2011. It launched the chant "Yes!" and Daniel Bryan into stardom. From there, the crowd had their chants for Punk and Bryan. Soon other stars came forward that shined the audience. The Shield, the Wyatts, Antonio Cesaro just to name a few were all big hits. They took out the stagnant cesspool of superstars that is McMahon's roster. The WWE Universe chants for those that excite and bring freshness to the WWE. Still we keep certain superstars like: John Cena, Randy Orton and Big Show.

Crowd Pissing off WWE/Pissing off the Crowd

There are times when the crowd absolutely takes away a promo. This is what I like to call trolling WWE.

Of Course, this is normal for an Attitude Era wrestler like Triple H. Daniel Bryan is the ultimate underdog. Another one is when Batista comes back and is booed, because Daniel Bryan was nowhere in the Royal Rumble. The WWE Creative has no way of bringing back a face Batista, so they made him either a tweener or a slow heel.

Now on the other side, WWE can piss off the crowd. John Cena is one of the best at this. The whole 2012 was all about "Rise Above Hate." The Universe was teased throughout 2011-today about Cena going heel.

I have to say: what an asshole.

Cheers and Boos

In the early 90's, you have a clear cut audience. Naturally, you have a good guy that is featured as a face. He is cheered and loved by the crowd. Then you would have the bad guy, and he is a heel. Of course, he is booed and hated by the crowd. There is very rarely a difference. Lets take Bret Hart and Ric Flair from 1992. Bret Hart was about to the peak of his career.

However, things have changed. The heels can be cheered or booed, while the faces can be the same cheered or booed. The more complex part is why certain wrestlers are cheered or booed. WWE usually lets us know who is bad and who is good, however now we are telling them who is heel and who is face. The character in the wrestler is the factor in which we like or don't like. For example, a legend is forever royalty and above being booed. If Stone Cold Steve Austin came to Boston and talked bad about it, would he be booed by the end of the show? No way. There is a rule that even legends have to follow: you mess with our most beloved wrestler and you will be booed for a long period of time. Shawn Michaels costed Daniel Bryan his chance at WWE Champion. He is still getting boos. Another rule is about Authority figures: you are either briefly loved, boring or booed.  Another example, Damien Sandow is one of the best talkers in WWE and is loved by many fans. His character, an intellectual asshole,  is loved because of his underdog tone and has charisma. The fans also love being entertained by the match. Thus causes both parties to be cheered. Bray Wyatt and Roman Reigns this last monday night had them both be cheered. If the action is poor, the audience will turn on both competitors with them chanting either "boring" or announcers names.

That night Sheamus and Randy Orton was just turned off by the crowd. No matter what bland move they use the crowd just didn't care. However, I don't think it was their fault. Earlier, they were treated to a boring speech by John Cena. He even pissed them off more with a poke at the crowd's wants and dreams. Kinda makes me wonder if John Cena turned heel long ago, but no one ever caught on.

Theories on making Rampant Crowd

1) Stagnant performers- (Randy Orton, The Miz) We have seen all of what they can do. It is time for a revamp on character and/or moves. Also, let them go away for a while.
2) Not Pushing a Character- (Dolph Ziggler, Daniel Bryan) We all know these guys have potential. Try letting these guys have the spotlight once in a while.
3) Pushing Part-timers- (The Rock) The crowd loves Legends. However, them being pushed to the top and practically burying full-timers spotlight is atrocious.
4) Non-entertaining matches- (Divas, Alberto Del Rio) The most dangerous thing to do is putting something sooooo boring that calling deceased wrestlers out is much more fun.

Conclusion

Crowds, today, want their voice heard. We made Daniel Bryan a star by popular demand. Now if only WWE can understand that we want Orton and Cena to leave for a couple of years maybe we can have a so-called Wrestling Renaissance. Either way, the crowd will chant whatever they want on live tv, until they figure out how to place canned pops/heat onto RAW like they do taped Smackdown.

WrestlingNerd: RAW Hogan returns...

Welcome back everybody to the WWE Wrestling Nerd Show. Now that Elimination Chamber is behind us and Wrestlemania is on the horizon, RAW is gonna blow up with returns and great storylines. Right? Usually this is supposed to be a great RAW, so I'm optimistic. I have my cranberry vodka, so lets start the show...

All Hail the Hulkster and the WWE Network

Hulk Hogan starts the show off to a thunderous Green Bay crowd. I'm going to say now that I am not a fan of Hogans. I watched him in WCW at the first place of my wrestling experience when the NWO started. I didn't start watching WWF until Austin started against the Corporation and McMahon. My first WWF sitting was with The Undertaker and Mankind in the famous Hell in the Cell match. With the internet, I caught up with the 80's to the present. Now back to the Hulkster...Hogan did his usually stints and told everyone that he is home. Hmm reminds you of something...

So then Hogan goes on about the WWE Network. The Immortal Force that is Hulk Hogan selling out with the products.  It's pretty low, and the crowd knows it. Every time he mentions the network, the crowd goes quiet. Hogan, you are damn lucky the crowd didn't turn on you. Also, he hypes Wrestlemania as the host of the PPV. I'd rather have this than him wrestling. Hopefully, he will be a drawing power.

Note to everyone: All tonight I will be doing my normal routine, but I have two gripes with most of it.
1) The WWE Network needs it dick sucked constantly with us watching all the commercials. I'm just going to get it out of the way now. They really are shoving this down our throats. I'm going to give it a try, but my god if it sucks then I'm ranting the absolute shit out of it.

2) The crowd is absolutely horrible. They are vocal at the wrong times and pretty quiet. I'll deal with them as we go.

CM Punk we need you more than ever!!!

Alberto Del Rio vs Batista
We get a rehash of last night. Batista comes out and is booed by the crowd. So I have to say that everyone wanted Batista back, but when he came back everyone is now booing him. I understand that Bryan should have won the Rumble at least be in it. Now we have Orton and Batista at WM30. Woooooo fucking Hooooooo! Is this what we wanted WWE? No, we wanted Bryan at the top and Batista back to fight someone else. WWE wanted to put history into the match just like Orton/Cena at TLC. However, the crowd is going to hate this match too unless you can find a way to make it interesting, and lately, WWE's creative is having a hard time just with that. So the match was good on Del Rio's part. Batista looked rusty, but better than last night. Orton comes out to distract Batista. Del Rio rolls up Batista for the win. Orton and Batista talk about how the audience doesn't like Batista, and that he doesn't like them back. Look this is the battle of monotone microphone promos. We all lose. At least they try to get some hype out of it.
All the while, CM Punk chants erupt once again.

Big E vs Cesaro w/ Zeb Coulter and Jack Swagger
This was a great match. Each competitor showed off their moves with shine. The crowd kept going on the "We The People" chants. Big E is outside of the ring and with the referee distracted Jack attempted to cheap shot Big E only resulting in getting a clothesline. Swagger interrupts the match with the Patriot Lock on Big E, which it costs Cesaro the match. Zeb and Cesaro confront Swagger and it ends with Swagger left partially behind. This could be interesting if Swagger won last night. Swagger and Cesaro could fight over the IC title. The cracks are there, and it looks like the Real Americans are breaking up soon, which I don't like. I think they need a tag title run. It just leaves Swagger on the losing end.

The Wyatts have Kryptonite...

Cena comes out to a lukewarm crowd. Seriously, this crowd is quiet. He talks about how the future runs through him. Hmmm we already knew that. Cena has buried wrestlers, and he has put wrestlers over while he has an excuse. Cena is boring because of his refusal to change his character. He also plugs the WWE Network like a good little poster boy he is. Angel known as Bray Wyatt comes to save us from Cena's mediocre microphone work. Bray does his riddle talking promo about Cena being an all-purpose hero. Cena replies, and the Wyatts take out Cena. Usually, Wyatts would do a lot of more damage, but Cena got a supposed real injury. So perhaps we will have Cena vs Bray Wyatt. It's not what I would of liked to see; Undertaker and Bray Wyatt would be better.

Corporate hell with an Irish-Canadian tint

Christian vs Sheamus
They have heated arguments on the pre-show. Note: I am not watching the pre/post-show since it already shows itself on the main show, unless it is relevant to the story.  Brad Maddox makes them a match together. See how easy it to make an ok rivalry better. Christian/Sheamus is hopefully going to get better. The match was pretty good too. Sheamus is always fun to watch, and Christian is getting better and better. Christian needs to kill the killswitch. That move is so obvious that it would be countered. When was the last time Christian successfully used that move before Elimination Chamber? Sheamus won the match. Now the worst part was the Green Bay crowd. They didn't care about the match and was chanting the wrong way. I'm sorry, but chanting boring and other crap in a good match is a let down. Hopefully, Chicago...oh shit.

minus=

Well now I feel bad for the WWE, kinda.

Daniel Bryan vs Kane
In the pre-show HHH and Stephanie is having an interview about the WWE Network. In comes Bryan yelling about Trips getting in the way of his title shots and he wants to fight HHH. Triple H tells Bryan that Bryan is a B+ player. Stephanie moves in to protect her husband. She tells Daniel that he can have Kane for a match tonight. As they walk away, HHH scoffs at the idea. I love this. They have been teasing HHH vs Daniel Bryan for months now. Even though it was supposed to be CM Punk. Either way, it is a good marquee match. Daniel Bryan and Triple H are playing great characters, hell even Stephanie is being one of the best heels out there.  Now with Kane vs Daniel Bryan it's another good match on the card. However, two things irritate me. One: JBL is now calling Bryan a Garden Gnome. Two: The crowd is pretty light when it comes to a Daniel Bryan movement. In the match, Kane tortures Daniel's arm, and he retaliates by targeting Kane's leg. Bryan kicks out of the Chokeslam. Bryan hits the knee for the win. After the match, Bryan calls out HHH and calls him a coward. HHH never comes out, and the Yes movement goes on.

Dancing Idiots get a good match...

Emma w/Santino Marella vs Summer Rae w/Fandango
Before the match, Emma comes out to her entrance. The song is great and charismatic. Hell I'm listening to it now on Youtube. She dances with bubbles...bubbles?!

Awesome!!! Now the match was pretty good. Of course the audience didn't like it. The action was good and so was Summer Rae. Summer can talk some good shit. Hopefully, she will rise in the ranks of the divas division. That roundhouse kick Summer does would give CM Punk a tear in his eye. Emma wins at the end with the EmmaLock.

Families, hounds and outlaws out for a party

The Usos vs New Age Outlaws
In a short match, it was ok. It introduced the Usos back in the title hunt. However, the Usos were booed for the wrong reason. I think it was funny for the Usos to let the NAO do their bit in the beginning of the match only to catch them off guard with a superkick. Usos win with a Splash.

Roman Reigns vs Bray Wyatt
Before the match, Rollins and Reigns questions Ambrose about the whereabouts he was at the end of the match at Elimination Chamber. Now they don't tell us where he went which sucks ass. I don't know why they couldn't tell us. Maybe there is something special about the place. As Ambrose leaves the Wyatts come up to Rollins and Reigns. Reigns challenges Bray Wyatt to a match alone. No Wyatts, no Shield. The match was great. It was heavy-hitting and action packed. Again, the crowd thrills us in how dumb they are. Maybe it's the cheese and bratwursts. Soon enough the rest of the Wyatts come out. Rollins and Ambrose come out to fight them. However, they didn't come out at the same time. Rollins got beat until Ambrose came out. Ambrose gets in the middle of the match and got Reigns Disqualified. I don't know which storyline is going on here. Is the Shield breaking up? Are the Wyatts feuding with John Cena or The Shield?

Lesnar and Heyman come out. Lesnar being absent all this time wants a title match. Apparently, Triple H has given Lesnar an open challenge contract. It means that Lesnar can pick whomever he wants. Why not pick Randy Orton? Anyway, Undertaaker comes out in a lethargic applause. Lesnar signs the open contract, and shoves the pen and contract into Undertaker's chest. The eyes of the Undertaker says everything. Undertaker stabs Brock's hand with the pen and then chokeslams Lesnar through the table. Now this is a match of the part-timers. I really wanted to see Bray Wyatt go against Undertaker. Yay!!! Part-timers.

Overall

Now with the review, it didn't show how much commercialized crap they shoved down our throats. This is the abridged version. The Green Bay crowd sucked and so does overused commercial crap. If you can get past all that, the show was very good with the action. The storylines are being used, but some of the Wrestlemania card  is laughable. Where does Wyatts and The Shield fit in? Are we satisfied with HHH and Bryan feud? Why should Lesnar get Undertaker when other talents should fit in? Why couldn't Lesnar fight in the main event of Wrestlemania? Why is Emma and Summer Rae fighting something to watch? I'm so confused. Other than that, Hulk was kinda pointless, but the show was sooooo action packed. It's watchable with a few on the edge of your seat moments.

WrestlingNerd: Elimination Chamber 14'

Welcome back everybody. I'm excited for this PPV. Two matches are what makes this a great showing. Can't I wait for Wyatt/Shield or the Elimination Chamber match? No! With Elimination Chamber here, how is it? Did it meet our expectations? Well I have my Big Bull sandwich and 7up cherry; lets see...

Promos, Commercials, and Products on my PPV?!

Throughout the evening, we get promotions for the WWE Network. Yay! People are paying big bucks for some commercialized event takes place tomorrow. Commercials that shouldn't be in a Pay Per View. Also, having to see Los Matadores, The Great Khali, El Torito and Santino Marella play with toys, is just too much. We should have Dark Helmet play with WWE action figures...

See this wouldn't happen if I bought a movie. I'll pop in Hellraiser, and all of a sudden Pinhead talks about buying Hellflix, Toys from Demonspawn Toys Inc. and Netherrealm's own  Hot Pockets. Seriously, Hot Pockets are made from Satan; all hot on the sides and cold in the middle. What the fuck? Anyway, WWE has been putting commercialized products in PPVs, but can't they tone it down just a little? No wonder people are finding ways to find WWE programming online.

The Lowcard Feuds...

Kickoff: The Rhodes Brothers vs Rybaxel
These teams went at it like it was another match on RAW. It was just ok. Being that it was Curtis Axel's hometown, you would think that he would get the win. Nope The Rhodes won. They didn't seem to be at each other's throats, so we will be likely getting a multi-team tag match at Wrestlemania.

Titus O'Neil vs Darren Young
Now this one was very boring. I couldn't stop looking up Rage Comics on Memebase. The brawl they have been having on Smackdown was more exciting. Darren Young was practically carried throughout this match. Titus O'Neil didn't show even half of his charisma that he usually has. He needed to take more trash to Darren. The moves were boring, the announcers were bored and the crowd was bored. Titus won by pinfall with the Clash of the Titus.

AJ Lee w/Tamina vs Cameron For the Divas Championship
The divas match was another ok one. It was better than Titus and Darren. Cameron was allowed a chance for a Divas Championship match, because her name was drawn out of a hat. Seriously, the Divas Title is so low, that most people would rather have a cardboard cut out of a title.

Yes that piece of shit is better than the Divas division. So in the end, Tamina costed AJ Lee's match by DQ.
It looks like Tamina and AJ are splitting up.

Midcard Matches...

Big E vs Jack Swagger For the Intercontinental Championship
This match had barely any promos or hype. Coming off as boring and people caring less about it turned it around to look good. Both wrestlers did a good job. There were hard hitting moves and false endings. I thought the match was over with the second Patriot Lock on. I kept yelling at Big E to tap out. He fought out of it and won the match via pinfall with the Big Ending. I do have to say that it would of been better to see Jack Swagger win the belt. I think a feud here could of been brought out.

The Usos vs The New Age Outlaws For the Tag Team Championships
Both tag teams are very much over with the crowd. The dirty wrestling NAO is putting on is classic them, and the high flying wrestling the Usos are using is just what the crowd loves.  I expected the Usos to go over here, but I am liking their feud. I do understand that the Usos are going to get another chance at WM30. It would be the better time to win the straps then. The NAO wins with a dirty pinfall.

Alberto Del Rio vs Batista
Wow just...just wow! This was a spectacle to see. The crowd was the best part. I don't think Del Rio has been cheered this loud ever. Even when he was a face, and he had Roberto Rodriguez with him. You can just see the intense hatred Batista had with the audience. He even talked trash about them without the microphone. Either creative is having LSD for lunch or just completely don't care about the crowd. Ever since that night after Wrestlemania 29 on RAW, the crowd is forever changed.

Could you imagine the creative team trying to fix the audience's problem?

HHH: Ok team, Cena is not drawing as good as he used to. How can we fix this?
Creative member1: Well how about we bring back Batista and give him the Royal Rumble win?
HHH: Like it.
Creative member2: How about we bring back the Randy Orton and John Cena feud?
HHH: Love it.
Creative member3: How about we give the belt to Daniel Bryan?
HHH: (Predigrees Creative member3) Ok we will go with Batista coming back and a rerun of Cena/Orton.

I'll make an editorial about the crowd. This match was basically a plane crash and you have to watch the disaster. It's quite funny. Batista obviously wins.

The Main Events

The Wyatt Family vs. The Shield
From the start to the finish, this is the match of the year. This was like Freddy vs Jason, King Kong vs Godzilla, Aliens vs Predator all wrapped up in one. Now each member of each team was really shined. Erick Rowan is now physically scary. Luke Harper showed some great new wrestling moves. Bray Wyatt is surprising powerful and gifted as a character. Roman Reigns being the breakout star was great taking on all three Wyatts. Dean Ambrose hasn't really shown us exactly what he can do yet, but damn did I want him to fight Bray. However, hands down Seth Rollins really was the brightest star of the night. He pulled off some great high flying moves that would make Rey Mysterio throw up. So about the match...It started with a brawl. A brawl that would foretell things to come in their match. Too many highlights in this match, which include: Dean Ambrose and Bray Wyatt before the bell, Seth Rollins hitting all those high flying moves, Luke Harper launching himself to the outside, Bray and Ambrose taking the fight to the outside, Rollins going through the mexican announcers' table and Reigns trying to fend off the Wyatts alone. Bray Wyatt wins by pinfall after Sister Abigail.

The Elimination Chamber match for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship
Sheamus vs Cesaro vs Daniel Bryan vs Christian vs John Cena vs Randy Orton(all in order of the match)

This match was pretty good, but left a sour taste in my mouth. Lets start... Sheamus and Cesaro start the match brutally. Strikes and slams were just awesome. Soon Bryan was entered and the match picked up. Bryan's injury showed, and he succumbed to pain. Next, Christian came in. He was pretty good being the character that needed a good showing. John Cena was brought into the match, then Orton. Some highlights include: Daniel Bryan going through the glass, Christian hiding on top of a cell only to be frog splashing Sheamus, Orton hiding back inside the cell only to have Sheamus Brogue Kick the door. Each participate was beautifully done. Sheamus was the first to go by Christian. Christian by Daniel Bryan. Cesaro by John Cena. Then it got weird. The Wyatts interfered and took out John Cena. Leaving Orton to get the pin over Cena. The Wyatts left with Kane telling them to leave. Daniel Bryan saw Kane as a threat and took out Kane. As Bryan and Orton fought. Kane interfered only for Bryan to roundhouse kick him. Orton got the RKO, and Bryan kicked out. Bryan hit the knee, and Kane interfered again. Orton hit the second RKO for the win. Cole started spewing out remarks on how this interference needs to stop. It was like he was talking for us. I hated this. Not for the interference, but that it was Kane. I have said this before. Kane and Daniel Bryan rivalry needs to end. Triple H should of been the one to interfere.

Overall:
This was a mixed bag. Two great matches, two good matches and the rest were RAW-like matches was an ok PPV. The main events really delivered, while we had two abysmal matches. I'm counting this as a 5/10, but you need to watch Shield/Wyatt match. It really is the best so far. Leave your comments at the bottom.

WrestlingNerd PPV Prediction: Elimination Chamber

Stephanie McMahon looking like an evil witch! Alakazaam

Welcome everybody to my Elimination Chamber Prediction and Match Opinion. For a PPV that is lesser, this one is very exciting for two reasons. One, the Elimination Chamber match and two, the most thrilling match on the card: The Shield vs The Wyatts. Also, the Tag Team titles and the Intercontinental Championship will be on the line. Other things that will have a huge effect are: will the part time wrestlers show off their ring rust? Will the crowd effect the PPV? The crowd is collectively looking for a change in the guard, and will let Triple H know if his show is up to their money's worth.
So for this being my first PPV post, my system goes like this: I'll have the boring matches first then off to the higher ones. I'll explain the rivalry, certain implications and factors and the percentage of chance that wrestler will win and why. Also, I'll put in my opinion on who I want to win. So as Mario says...

Kickoff show: Rhodes Brothers vs Rybaxel

With this being the kickoff show, there usually never is a rivalry. Obviously, the Rhodes Bros. are supposed to break up and fight each other at Wrestlemania, so here is the time to be looking for any dissension between them. On the other hand, Rybaxel is placed as the enhancement talent. I don't see them winning unless the Rhodes are having problems between them. This rivalry is just there for the kickoff purpose. Don't anymore into that.

Percentage of winning:
The Rhodes Bros.      70%
Rybaxel                     30%

Who I want to win is Rybaxel only for the break up between Cody and Goldust.
Who does Creative more in likely want to win: The Rhodes Bros.

Big E vs Jack Swagger for the Intercontinental Championship

Big E has been the Intercontinental Champion, but hasn't had many challengers. He had a mini-feud, but it didn't help the title's value. Since the Super Intercontinental Championship merged with the WWE Championship, the IC title needed to come back into prominence. The vast amount of title holders never gave it the shine it needed. The last two wrestlers that gave it a higher value was Cody Rhodes and Ric Flair during his last run in wrestling. Since then, it has been handed around like a shitty diaper. Each holder never had real feuds or challenges. It was like WWE helped the tag titles and forgot about the midcard titles. Now Big E has the title, and once again he holds it like a plastic belt you get from the store. At least Jack Swagger did a fatal 4-way match for the number one contender. The match holds little value for me. I see Jack Swagger winning, so he can rub it in Cesaro's face.

Percentage of Winning:
Jack Swagger             60%
Big E                          40%

I think Jack Swagger will win it to show it to Cesaro, but creative might have other plans, hence the reason the numbers are close together.

Alberto Del Rio vs Batista

This rivalry is so boring that I pray for a divas match. This rivalry got started on Twitter with there Twit war. Then Alberto Del Rio started talking trash about Batista...perro and all. Once Batista was added to the roster, Del Rio came out to Batista on his re-debut. From there, Del Rio really tried to show emotion, and tried to get people to notice him. The problem was Batista in two ways. One, he absolutely cared more about how Triple H thought about his return over the rivalry at hand. Seriously, Batista could of given a lot more effort in this rivalry. The second problem was Batista got swept up in a sea of boos, because the Daniel Bryan effect has spread throughout the arenas. To the audience, Batista took what was rightfully Daniel Bryan's. I do have to credit the creative writing in here. With Punk gone, they really have scrambled a good story with HHH and Daniel Bryan. Back to Batista/Del Rio; these two could put on a classic, but all Del Rio is to Batista is a jobber. I see two things happening and each are have two constants: Del Rio will make Batista a legitimate threat to the WWE WHC, and Batista winning. The two variables are: can Batista shake the ring rust to give a good performance, and will the WWE audience shower the match with cheers and "this is awesome" chants or are they going to boo and chant the announcers and/or "Boring." Either way the audience is going to be the reason to watch this match.

Percentage of winning:
Batista                       95%
Alberto Del Rio           5% (only because of Batista's ring rust could be dangerous and botchy)

I could careless who wins, and creative is sooooooo obviously on Batista's side.

Titus O'Neil vs Darren Young

These two were once the Prime-time Players. Titus O'Neil was the charismatic powerhouse, while Darren "Mr. No Days Off" Young was the worker of the group. They ran with Abraham Washington as a manager climbing to their first Tag Team Title reign, however Washington was release due to a multitude of remarks he made for various subjects. Thus, The Prime-Time Players were placed on the backburner. Titus O'Neil began to pick up his charisma as his character grew. Darren's character did not grow. Soon PTP was on the rise again, but failing in grabbing the gold from Team Hell No. After that, they were brought into being faces, because news of Darren Young's sexual orientation coming out. It was WWE's way of saying," Yes! We support the LGBT community." They seem to get a couple wins and escape back to obscurity. Now a few weeks ago, PTP loss another match resulting in a frustrated Titus O'Neil. He came to the conclusion that Darren Young is dead weight and the Prime-Time Players are no more. They brawl off and on; Titus is shot up in character due to his great promo performance. The sad part is this rivalry was only exclusive to the blue brand, however holds more emotion than half of the other matches on this card. I am really looking to see what Titus does and how he holds in the future. Since, Titus is the one being pushed I see him getting the win.

Percentage of Winning:
Titus O'Neil                90%
Darren Young             10%

I want Titus to keep his push, so I want Titus to win.
Creative is thinking the same thing

The Usos vs The New Age Outlaws for the Tag Team Championships

This match is a mixed bag of all kinds of reasons. The rivalry starts with the New Age Outlaws coming out of retirement back to full time employment. First they were back for the DX nostalgia or milking the DX  nostalgia to the bitter end. At the time, I  thought they were there temporarily. Once they turned on Punk, I figured they were going to add to the Authority angle. They never did and went completely heel. The nostalgia of them has worn off, but replaced with a newfound interest, much like Goldust coming back and being better than ever. These guys wrestle great and were wonderful on the microphone. Soon, they took over the Tag Team Championships by beating The Rhodes Brothers. After that feud, The Usos started to take on wins. Jimmy showed promise on commentary, Jey was wrestling better and better. The Usos are a hot team right now becoming the Hardyz 2.0. With both teams running hot, they clash at the PPV. The tag team division is really back to prominence and is welcomed to stay. Now the thing I have to question is... is WWE ready to pull the trigger on the Usos? So many times have the Usos reached this far, and never held onto gold. However, with them being over with the crowd and the NAO nostalgia worn off, are the Usos ready for the next level?

Percentage of Winning:
New Age Outlaws      50%
The Usos                   50%

I really want the Usos to win, but creative is a complete mystery.

Randy Orton vs Sheamus vs John Cena vs Cesaro vs Christian vs Daniel Bryan
Elimination Chamber Match for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship

With this match, each wrestler plays his own part in different stories. Sheamus is coming back from an injury, and wants to become the champion to reclaim his prior position as a main eventer. However, Sheamus is the one with almost no story behind him. John Cena is the top guy in the company, and he is the glass ceiling for younger stars to break out to the next generation of main eventers. Being a young rising star, Cesaro is trying to make a name for himself and position himself as a main event guy. However, one superstar is seeing the end of his career and wants to reclaim the championship one last time. Christian is a desperate man with a new attitude. Daniel Bryan is a main event guy that is being held down by The Authority. To him, getting that gold with cement himself as the new John Cena, and he can shove it into The Authority's face. Lastly, we have the supposed  of "Face of the WWE," Randy Orton. Randy Orton is the champion, but he is on a slump against the other superstars besides Christian. His story needs him to win and go to Wrestlemania to keep his poster boy position.

Prediction on events:
Now I don't know who will start, but my guess is Daniel Bryan is one of them. No way The Authority will allow Bryan to be in a cell. I'm saying Sheamus will eliminate Christian. Sheamus is eliminated by Cesaro or John Cena. John Cena is eliminated by Cesaro. Cesaro is eliminated by Bryan. Kane or Triple H interferes costing Bryan the match and Randy Orton wins going to Wrestlemania.

Percentage of Winning:
Randy Orton               50% Since the story goes like I say with little deviances
Daniel Bryan               25% Bryan could easily take out both The Authority and Randy Orton
John Cena                  10% Because he's John Cena
Cesaro                         5% Cesaro is not ready to hold the belts
Sheamus                       5% Sheamus was only World Heavyweight Champion material
Christian                       5% Christian is Intercontinental Champion material

I want Daniel Bryan to win and have a Triple Threat match at Wrestlemania. Creative is predictable about this Randy Orton wins.

The Wyatt Family vs The Shield

The most anticipated match on the card. One problem, this shouldn't be a tag team. I would of love to see this be a ladder match, a tornado tag or a hell in a cell. Either way, no one cares who wins, because this match is just plain Awesome. The storyline was well put together. Wyatts costed The Shield their chance at the Elimination Chamber match. Then for weeks they put on promos. Bray Wyatt was easily the one to watch in the promos. He really brought the creepy atmosphere to this. The Shield were great too showing their fearless state. Of course there are cracks in The Shield, but one thing holding them together is their chance to fight the Wyatts. This isn't a match that had a ragtag team fight The Shield. This is a faction vs faction match that means WAR! I see each side winning, but going to Wrestlemania for a rematch.

Percentage of winning:
The Wyatt Family      55%
The Shield                 45%

I gave the Wyatts a higher percentage, because the cracks in The Shield. I want this to end in a disqualification, and head into Wrestlemania for a gimmick match. If one team is to win, I would like it to be The Wyatt Family. Creative is a toss up.

Well everybody that's my predictions and opinions. Leave your comments and suggestions below.

WrestlingNerd: Smackdown-The Action Packed Filler

What up yall? I'm back with another review. We are looking at the Smackdown before Elimination Chamber. Usually, WWE likes to hype the PPV and place any last minute matches. Of course, it holds up to that, so how was the show? Lets take a look at Friday Night Smackdown...

Daniel Bryan vs The World

Daniel Bryan vs Jack Swagger w/ Zeb Coulter and Cesaro
With Daniel's arm bandaged, it was an easy target for Swagger. Daniel Bryan has the Yes Movement underway with the crowd chanting. All in all it was a good match. Daniel Bryan hits the knee for the pinfall.
Vickie and Kane comes out to give Bryan a second match with Cesaro.

Daniel Bryan vs Cesaro w/ Jack Swagger and Zeb Coulter
Again attacking the arm of Bryan, Cesaro goes to hurt Bryan's chances at Elimination Chamber. Cesaro really is trying to make himself interesting with new moves slewing out and an over character. If he was better at the mic, he would instantly be a much more credible champion. Swagger picks up a chair while Bryan is laying on the outside. The ref catches him and sends both Coulter and Swagger out. After the commercial break, Kane is appearing on the outside of the match. Bryan hits the knee and Cesaro drops. Kane then chokeslams Bryan. Now I have been saying that the Kane/Bryan rivalry needs to end soon. I would rather have Triple H cause Bryan the match at Elimination Chamber, so they can feud towards Wrestlemania. Kane/Bryan should of ended here or RAW. Kane needs to move on. After the chokeslam, Cesaro picks up the pieces for his neutralizer.

Wyatts hype up their match with Shield

The Wyatt Family vs Rhodes Bros/ Rey Mysterio
This was the match of the night. I mean for Smackdown this was pretty good. Before the match, Bray Wyatt cuts a last minute promo. Bray has a certain appeal to each. Words have been spoken about his promos: creepy, fluent, well-spoken and menacing. I'd like to say that if his character stands true all the way through his wrestling career, he would become quite like the Undertaker. Could you imagine the vignette for Bray Wyatt vs The Undertaker at WM30? It would blow my mind. So about the match...Rey and Luke Harper start the match. Now if you watch The Wyatts, you will now see the archetype heel persona. Sure they attack people, but no cheap shots and no heel like moves. They use their overwhelming power and character to become menacing and intimidating. In the end, Rey hits the 619 on Rowan. Harper takes out Rey. Cody takes out Harper, and Bray hits the Sister Abigail on Goldust for the win.

The Midcard

Emma and Summer Rae have a dance off while I go for beer...
Alexander Rusev and Lana have another promo...I have already made that joke.

Dolph Ziggler vs Titus O'Neil
With Darren Young on commentary and a new shirt that looks like they just put a calender on a shirt, the competitors square off. Now that Ziggler is enhancement talent, maybe more wrestlers will stop talking non-kayfabe truth about WWE.

My point about talented wrestlers. I mean why waste your talents doing nothing when TNA is right around the corner. Anyway the match was ok, except for Titus O'Neil. My god can that guy talk. He needs to be pushed. Darren Young isn't as talented, but much better than some of the wrestlers. Young takes O'Neil's whistle and blows it. It causes Titus a distraction while Ziggler gains the rollup win. I have to say this rivalry is getting hotter and hotter.

Jimmy Uso w/Jey Uso vs Road Dogg w/Billy Gunn
The match was short and sweet with Jimmy hitting the superkick for the win. It looks like the tag team titles will be on the PPV.

An Irishman and a Canadian walk in a Bar Pub...

Sheamus vs Christian
During the night, each wrestler was interviewed. Each did their job hyping both the main event and the PPV.
Christian comes out as a heel. The process was fast, but needed for the Sheamus/Christian rivalry. I look to them Eliminating one another at EC. Sheamus on the other hand gave his usual promo that is funny and aggressive. Now the match wasn't a 5-star classic, but good for Smackdown. You can feel desperation coming off Christian as Sheamus brawls as he always does. The story between them is more about Christian than Sheamus, however this is just the rain before the storm. Sheamus wins with White Noise. While he celebrates, Christian turns full heel and throws Sheamus off the top rope to the floor. Then Smackdown ends.

Overall

The show did what it was supposed to by hyping the PPV. One thing I haven't mentioned is most of the night we saw just promos and vignettes on the upcoming PPV. Now that is understandable as the go-home show, but they really over did it. Elimination Chamber PPV is exciting for two reasons: the chamber match and the feud between the Wyatts and the Shield. Sure they added in a few matches that may look good, but just aren't. Tomorrow is my first PPV match prediction and opinion on each aspect, so I won't go into it too much. Just know that tonight is passable, but the action was pretty damn good. Just skip the dancing part and get some beer. Leave comments and suggestions below. Thanks!
